SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Comic Con International has unveiled the highly anticipated panel schedule for the first full day of San Diego Comic-Con, which is exactly two weeks from Thursday.
The convention starts with a preview night on Wednesday, July 23, which only has one confirmed panel scheduled as of Thursday’s announcement. Wednesday’s panel, “Teaching and Learning with Comics,” will take place at the Shiley Special Events Suite in the San Diego Convention Center at 3:30 p.m.
On Thursday, July 24, which is the first full day of SDCC, dozens of panels are scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Topics range from what goes into composing the music for superhero films such as “Thunderbolts” (2025) and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” (2025) to tips on cosplaying and bringing your favorite characters to life.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to get an in-depth look at the costumes from Marvel’s “Agatha All Along,” “Aliens: Romulus,” “Superman” (2025) and more as designers speak about what went into bringing their ideas to fruition.
Plus, fans of the legendary comic-book artist Jack Kirby can listen to a panel discussing the themes of his work and beloved characters such as the Fantastic Four, Thor and the Eternals.
Thursday’s programming also includes an exclusive look at the upcoming season of the Disney + series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” in Hall H. The cast and executive producers will answer questions from fans and dive deep into the new season, premiering in December.
Also in Hall H, comedians Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias and Jo Koy will meet with guests and do a Q&A. Attendees will get an SDCC exclusive giveaway.
