Indiana University police have been investigating a shooting near the IU Bloomington campus early Saturday.
When officers arrived at the intersection of 10th Street and Walnut Grove around 2:30 a.m., they found a person who was shot in the leg.

The shooter, identified as 18-year-old Chaice Strickland, was detained after trying to drive away.
Officers say the victim and suspect knew each other, and they were not students or staff members with IU’s campus.
No students were injured.
