Cyber Monday kicks off tomorrow, and people are still hungry for great deals. I’ve actually had a difficult time finding discounts for gaming consoles because everywhere I look, they’re either sold out or at full price. Fortunately, I found one on Best Buy for the digital version of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. The retailer is offering the console in Robot White for $400, a $50 discount from its original price.

As you can probably guess from its description, this particular version lacks a disk drive. Every game you plan on playing must be purchased through the console’s digital marketplace. It doesn’t have a way to run physical disks. Modern games are sometimes unoptimized, resulting in massive file sizes. To house these titles, the Xbox Series X has a sizable 1TB SSD.
Microsoft also gave its device some of the necessary features to enable immersive gaming. It can run games up to 4K resolution and support surround sound formats, including Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS. The Xbox Series X measures 10.2 x 8.46 x 14.59 inches and weighs about 14 pounds. Unlike the PlayStation 5’s obtuse form factor, finding a good space for the console won’t be difficult thanks to its compact, rectangular design.
Additionally, the console works with voice assistants like Alexa and comes with a free controller.

With the $50 saved through this deal, you may wonder what to do with the extra cash. Best Buy, for example, is selling the Xbox Wireless Controller in Pulse Red for $45. However, I recommend hopping over to Amazon and purchasing a 1-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership at a discounted $15. This gives you access to new games without having to pay full price for them, the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, and unique perks such as in-game content.
It’s unknown exactly when this deal expires. Best Buy’s product page doesn’t mention an expiration date, so it’s possible the discount could extend beyond Cyber Monday.
