Becky Lynch has thrown down the gauntlet to AJ Lee. Appearing on ESPN’s First Take to promote the Royal Rumble, Lynch did not shy away from stirring the pot when the topic of potential surprise entrants was raised. With the event set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Lynch issued a direct challenge to former Divas Champion AJ Lee, inviting her to enter the 30-woman over-the-top-rope battle royal.
Lynch, who is scheduled to compete in the Royal Rumble match for the first time since 2024, made it clear she would end Lee’s career should she decide to lace up her boots one more time.
“If she would like to show up, I would like to beat her and retire her and send her off and hopefully we won’t see her for another decade. That would be wonderful.”
As of this writing, only sixteen women have officially declared for the Royal Rumble match, leaving fourteen spots open for potential surprises. While Lee has given no official indication of a return, she is heavily rumored to be competing in the bout.
