NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Every year, American seniors lose over $28 billion to fraud, according to AARP. But here’s the shocking part: Only a fraction ever gets reported. If you’ve received a letter, email, or call claiming you’ve been “pre-qualified” or “pre-approved” for a 401(k) rollover or annuity upgrade, beware. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Kyiv won’t cede territory to bring an end to war but is ready to work with US President Donald Trump for real and lasting peace.  “Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier,” Zelenskiy said in a post on Telegram and X that also called any deal reached without Kyiv’s involvement as a “dead solution.”  Trump announced on Friday that he’ll meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Aug. 15, with the apparent exclusion of Zelenskiy from talks aimed at ending Russia’s invasion of its neighbor, now well into its fourth year.  Senior…

Aperitivo is almost antithetical to New York City. The Italian art of the pre-dinner drink is all about taking time to relax and stimulate your taste buds and appetite before sitting down for a long, leisurely dinner. In Italy, aperitivo—which comes from a Latin word that means “to open”—typically involves drinking an Aperol spritz or another aperitif-based drink like a Negroni and snacking on bites like marinated olives and cured meats.  Despite the fact that New Yorkers rarely take the time to imbibe in that laid-back Italian style, dozens of bars and restaurants across the city are embracing this happy…

In the quiet corridors of Gaborone, where power has long been polished like a flawless diamond, a seismic shift has reshaped Botswana’s political landscape. The 2024 general elections delivered a stunning verdict: the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), which had ruled uninterrupted since independence in 1966, was swept from power. In its place rose Duma Boko and the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), a coalition once dismissed as a fragmented opposition, now holding the reins of a nation at a crossroads. The fall of President Mokgweetsi Masisi — handpicked successor to the powerful Ian Khama — was not merely a political…
