Chicago police are warning residents after a series of ATM thefts was reported across the city. A total of 18 thefts occurred in the Austin, Belmont-Cragin, North Lawndale, River North, Near North, Portage Park, Lower West Side and Little Italy neighborhoods. In each incident, suspects in either a stolen or rented SUV broke a window or used a prying tool to open a business’ door.
