MORROW, Ohio — When the moms decided to move to the farm, they imagined a thousand mornings like this one. Birds chirping. Pesticide-free vegetables growing. And children, many children, roaming the land without phones or ultraprocessed snacks. “You guys want to gather up? Let’s do a quick lesson first,” said Leah Lauchlan, the mother who would lead “Kids Farm Day” on a Tuesday in midsummer. A gaggle of neighborhood children had arrived early on bicycles and tricycles, and were already plopped down in the dirt, pulling weeds. “Soil supports 95% of all food production,” said Lauchlan, holding a coffee mug…

Bob Oswald As news reports regarding files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are sporadically published, some social media users share the information in selective or misleading posts. A recent Facebook post, following a senator’s speech, claimed President Donald Trump exchanged thousands of wire transfers with Epstein, who was convicted in 2019 and later died in prison. “Major breaking news,” read the caption on the July 27 Facebook post, which was also posted on X. “Trump made 4,725 wire transfers to Epstein. Totaling over $1.1 billion!” The post included a video showing a speech by Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of…

I wouldn’t cancel any outdoor plans but perhaps delaying anything from the morning may be wise. There is also a chance of a pop-up storm this afternoon. However, those will be few and far between. Once these storms…
