An investigation is underway in Irwindale after a person was fatally struck by a train on the Metrolink tracks Sunday. Details are limited and it’s unclear exactly how the deadly collision near Irwindale Avenue and Edna Place occurred, but officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene just after 4:20 p.m. and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Footage of the scene posted to the Citizen app showed deputies with the L.A. MONROE COUNTY, Ind. — Authorities are searching for a missing man after he never emerged from Monroe Lake on Sunday afternoon. According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, conservation officers were called to the area of Allen Creek Boat Ramp on Monroe Lake around 1:15 p.m. in response to a reported drowning. Indiana DNR said preliminary information indicates a 27-year-old man was on a pontoon boat when he went into the water.
