KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City traffic investigators shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 435 between 87th Street and Gregory for three hours after a person walking or standing in a lane was struck and killed early Thursday morning, police said. An album release party at a busy nightclub in River North Wednesday turned deadly after a drive-by shooting left four people killed and 14 others injured. The shooting took place about 11 p.m. as a crowd of people stood outside the Artis Lounge nightclub in the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue, Chicago police said.
