The Ohio State Fair is dancing with the devil — or rather, deviled egg.
On Tuesday, the fair revealed its sweet and unorthodox 2025 deviled egg flavor of the year: chocolate chip cookie dough.
The Ohio Poultry Association will offer the chocolate chip cookie dough deviled egg alongside a bevy of new flavors at its Devilishly Good Food Stand. It described the creation as “an appetizer and dessert all-in-one.”

Chocolate chip cookie dough joins a list of peculiar deviled egg flavors of the year at the Ohio State Fair, which includes bubble gum (2024) and cotton candy (2023).
Beyond chocolate chip cookie dough, there will be five other new flavors at this year’s fair: hot honey everything, sriracha peach, Columbus pizza, spicy crunchy and cranberry feta.
The Devilishly Good Food Stand will feature more than a dozen deviled egg flavors and three deviled egg flights:
- 2025 New Flavor Flight: chocolate chip cookie dough, hot honey everything, sriracha peach, Columbus pizza, spicy crunchy and cranberry feta
- Savory Flight: Columbus pizza, cranberry feta, dill pickle, hot dog, tomato bacon ranch and maple bacon crunch deviled eggs
- Spicy Flight: hot honey everything, sriracha peach, spicy crunchy, Buffalo chicken, Korean BBQ and maple bacon jalapeño deviled eggs
The Ohio State Fair will be held from July 23 to Aug. 3 in Columbus.
