Atlanta Public Schools (APS) has announced a series of community engagement opportunities designed to gather public input on the district’s Comprehensive Long-Range Facilities Plan (CLRFP), known as APS Forward 2040.
According to a release from APS, the initiative aims to address critical infrastructure challenges while ensuring equitable access to quality learning environments for all students.
The engagement campaign kicks off with four community outreach meetings in late August and early September, followed by additional sessions throughout the fall. Each initial meeting will present the same overview of scenarios under consideration, allowing community members to attend the session most convenient for their schedule.
Since May, APS has collected more than 3,700 survey responses and hosted multiple public meetings and task force sessions, the release said. The feedback gathered has already begun shaping the scenarios under consideration, which will continue to evolve based on community input, the release said.
