The body of a missing kayaker was recovered by authorities early Thursday, according to a WGN News report.
The search was led by the St. Charles Fire Department, but they have not released any details about the recovery of the unidentified kayaker who went missing in the Fox River late Tuesday near an area just south of Ferson Creek Fen.
Authorities said two kayakers were fishing around 10 p.m. Tuesday when their kayakers tipped. One of the kayakers was able to make it to shore safely, the other hadn’t been seen since.
Nearly 30 departments assisted in the rescue and recovery effort.
