Ashley River Bridge closed one way due to malfunction

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A bridge that connects West Ashley to downtown Charleston is shut down one way on Sunday afternoon. 

The Ashley River Bridge going into West Ashley from downtown is closed due to a maintenance issue, according to the Charleston Police Department. 

Crews are on the scene working to fix the issue, but motorists should expect delays, the department said.
