Investigators in Arcadia are searching for a residential burglary suspect who reportedly made off with $125,000 worth of luxury property and a handgun over the weekend.
The break-in, according to an Arcadia Police Department news release, unfolded in the 1000 block of Lovell Avenue just after 4 p.m.
The homeowner later returned to the residence and called police after finding that an intruder had smashed a window to gain access and while inside ransacked the closet in the primary bedroom.
“Interior surveillance footage showed a male Hispanic suspect, dressed in a black jacket and pants, inside the home around 4:16 p.m.,” investigators said.

Exterior security cameras captured the suspect throwing stolen items, which included designer handbags, shoes, a watch and a firearm moments before he fled the same wall and fled the area.
Police noted that the home was equipped with an alarm and security cameras, some of which that had appeared to have been disabled and, unfortunately, the alarm never activated.
An investigation into the break-in is ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information about the case to contact the Arcadia Police Department at 626-574-5151.
