All Elite Wrestling has officially added one of the hottest free agents to its roster.
During Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, Austin competed in the ring, losing to Ricochet and the Gates of Agony in his singles debut. Austin was confirmed to be in the building this week as he appeared on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, where he got into it with Ricochet and Gates of Agony.
Tony Khan confirmed the news on social media.
Austin is best known for his time in TNA, where he is a former three-time TNA X Division Champion and three-time TNA World Tag Team Champion. The star recently wrapped up his time in TNA in May. He’s also briefly appeared for promotions like NJPW and Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.
Prior to his signing with AEW, rumors about Austin’s future were rampant. Many thought an appearance on WWE was inevitable. However, it seems like Austin chose relatively quickly. How he’ll slot into the roster of All Elite Wrestling remains unknown as of yet.
