My Chemical Romance is making its way across North America with a series of performances, and Chicago is up next on the docket.
The rock band that rose to prominence in the mid-2000s will bring its “Long Live: The Black Parade” tour to Soldier Field this week. On the heels of a stop in Toronto, Canada, the band will take the stage on Friday, performing the entirety of their most famous album “The Black Parade” – along with other hit songs and deep cuts.
My Chemical Romance won’t be the only group performing; iconic new wave band Devo will open the show.
As of Monday, last-minute tickets still available, though the cheapest ones available on Vivid Seats were priced at $239.
According to the ticket resale website, only 1% of tickets are left.
My Chemical Romance burst into the mainstream with their 2004 album “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,” which featured the hit singles “Helena” and “I’m Not Okay (I Promise).” The band followed that up with “The Black Parade,” which was certified platinum and peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. charts.
The album’s title track was certified five-times platinum, with “Famous Last Words” and “Teenagers” also being certified platinum off the album.
The band broke up in 2013, but reunited in 2019, playing shows in numerous locations, including the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas.
