Wall Street expects to see higher revenue than last year when Walmart Inc. reports its second-quarter earnings Thursday, according to Zacks researchers.
The Bentonville-based retailer’s news release and other materials will be available on its investor website at 6 a.m. and top executives will host a call with investors beginning at 7 a.m.
The consensus revenue estimate from 20 analysts is $174.24 billion. Walmart reported revenue of $167.77 billion a year ago.
The consensus earnings estimate of 33 analysts surveyed is 74 cents per share, compared to 67 cents per share last year.
Doug McMillon, Walmart’s president and chief executive officer, and Chief Financial Officer John David Rainey will host a 7 a.m. conference call to discuss Walmart’s results and answer questions.
