NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — No better way to wrap up the summer than a party for teenagers hosted by teenagers.
Gen Z festival has returned and Director and CEO of New Orleans Recreational Development Commission (NORD-C) Larry Barabino Jr. was at the WGNO studio to discuss year three of the event put on by young people for young people.
“What I want to talk about is the bands because this year, the teens wanted to do something different. So they wanted to do a battle of the band. So we have McDonough 35, we have Edna Karr, we have the “K”, what I affectionately call it the Kennedy alumni and we have Abramson High School. We have a special guest, Roots of Music is also going to perform. So we’re excited about that,” said Barabino
Also attending is DJ Chicken Wing.
The event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23 and will be open for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 at Xavier University’s Convocation Center.
