The August 22, 2025 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown is set to be a landmark event in Dublin, Ireland, and now it’s confirmed the 3Arena will be packed to the rafters.
Just two hours before showtime, WrestleTix reported that the building has officially sold out with all 9,151 tickets distributed. The final setup was locked at 9,151, meaning there were no walk-up tickets available at the venue, guaranteeing a completely full house when the cameras go live.
This sold-out crowd will witness John Cena’s return to SmackDown, which also happens to be his last appearance in Ireland as part of his farewell tour before he faces Logan Paul at Clash in Paris. For Irish fans, this moment adds extra significance to an already emotional stop on Cena’s retirement run.
The card itself is stacked with matches designed to fuel the road to Clash in Paris. Aleister Black will battle R-Truth in a rematch after their first encounter saw Truth come out on top. The Motor City Machine Guns are scheduled to face Carmelo Hayes and The Miz following the duo’s win last week. Charlotte Flair will go one-on-one with Piper Niven as her feud with Alexa Bliss, Chelsea Green, and their allies continues to escalate. To round out the action, The Street Profits will take on two members of MFT in tag team competition.
With John Cena’s farewell moment in Ireland, a sold-out arena, and storylines heating up ahead of Clash in Paris, SmackDown in Dublin is shaping up to be one of WWE’s most memorable shows of the year.
