The PFA Team of the Year has been announced for the 2024/25 season with the Premier League’s best side named on Tuesday night.
Inclusion is perhaps the ultimate accolade for a season’s hard work, voted for by the other players across the Premier League.
Liverpool led the way in 2024/25 with four inclusions, following their title success under Arne Slot. Runners-up Arsenal were also well represented, alongside inclusions from Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Bournemouth.
Virgil van Dijk was included at centre-back with the Liverpool defender making the cut for a fifth time.

The Dutch defender has been a regular in the PFA Team of the Year, with only eight players included on more occasions during the Premier League era. Just one centre-back, Rio Ferdinand, can better Van Dijk’s five inclusions.
Another former Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, leads the way. Gerrard was voted into the Premier League’s best side in eight different seasons, two more than any other player.
A number of names were included in the PFA Team of the Year on six occasions, including Thierry Henry, Harry Kane and Premier League record goalscorer, Alan Shearer.
