NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – We had an ever so slightly “break” in the heat for two days, but a Heat Advisory makes a return for Tuesday.
The Heat Advisory starts at 10 a.m. and runs through 7 p.m. on Tuesday including most of southeastern Louisiana minus the coast plus parts of Mississippi.
Here’s a look at the expected high temperatures with most spots getting into the mid-to-upper 90s:
With “hideous heat” like this plus the humidity in the mix, we will see Heat Index values up 110 so please be sure to stay hydrated, mindful of your time outdoors particularly during the peak hours of the day, check in on those who don’t do well in these summertime conditions and watch where you walk your dog so they don’t burn their little paws.
