CHICAGO — Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a man and 4-year-old child on the city’s North Side.
The incident happened around 9:40 p.m. Sunday on the 2700 block of West Peterson Avenue in the West Ridge neighborhood.
According to police, officers responded to the crash and found a 24-year-old man and 4-year-old boy struck by a gray vehicle while crossing the street in the crosswalk.
Police said the male driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot after the collision.
The man was transported to St. Francis Hospital in fair condition and the 4-year-old was transported to Swedish Hospital also in fair condition.
There is no one in custody and Area Three Detectives are investigating.
