Competition Pool at Ashburn Recreation & Community Center to Reopen at 8:00 a.m. on August 15

The competition pool at the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, after a temporary closure. 
 
The competition pool was closed after staff determined there was potential for glass in the pool due to an unfortunate accident where a non-mercury glass thermometer, used during routine monitoring, was accidentally broken. The closure allowed our staff to safely drain, clean, and remove any potential glass or debris from the pool, ensuring the safety of our patrons.
