When he filed a paternity and child support case against Hunter Biden in June 2019, Clint Lancaster put himself on the radar of national Republicans. The salacious details of the case — Joe Biden’s son had a child with Lunden Roberts, a Batesville native who had worked as an exotic dancer in Washington, D.C. — garnered a lot of attention and made Lancaster a frequent face on right-wing podcasts, YouTube channels and TV networks.
During those appearances, Lancaster lambasted Hunter Biden about his past drug use, his then-pending gun charges, and his alleged failure to be a presence in his daughter’s life.
But according to filings in two separate Arkansas courts this month, Lancaster is now facing accusations very similar to the ones he leveled against Hunter Biden.
On August 5, Lancaster filed a petition for name change on behalf of a 19-year-old woman from Pope County. In that pleading, Lancaster said the woman had “recently determined that she is the biological daughter of [Lancaster]” and that she “desires to take on the last name of her father and his family.”
And on Wednesday, Lancaster’s wife and business partner, attorney Jennifer Lancaster, who also has also been a main character in state-level Republican politics, filed a petition for separate maintenance and immediate emergency custody of the couple’s two minor children. The filing was unrelated to Clint’s paternity matter — his adult daughter was born in 2006, while Clint and Jennifer wed in 2011 — though it inevitably raises questions about whether he was truly in a position to throw stones.
In an affidavit accompanying her petition, Jennifer Lancaster wrote that Clint Lancaster “has a long history of prescription drug and alcohol abuse, unresolved anger issues and unstable mental health.”
She said this has been happening “over the past decade,” during which she repeatedly tried to get him to go to treatment, therapy or counseling. Those efforts were unsuccessful, leaving Jennifer Lancaster no choice but to “seek intervention to protect the children from immediate danger, preserve marital and professional assets from further harm, and legally establish separation and support.”
In the affidavit, Jennifer Lancaster leveled these allegations against her husband:
- “[He] has abused alcohol and prescription drugs for at least ten years, often obtaining controlled substances from multiple sources and consuming them in excess of prescribed dosages.”
- “In late May 2025, after I had to euthanize my dog, I asked [Clint] to supervise the children and their friends while they swam in the pool. When I awoke about an hour later, he was passed out. The children reported that he had locked himself in the office and refused to check on them.”
- “Between June 16 and June 28, 2025, [he] engaged in a binge of prescription drugs and alcohol, during which he threatened multiple times, in front of the children, to ‘kick my ass’ and to kill me.”
- “On or about June 19, 2025, [he] physically attacked me in front of the children, mocked our youngest child’s distress, and verbally abused me after I encouraged him to seek help.”
- “During the same week, at about 10:00 p.m., the house alarm went off. [Clint], visibly intoxicated, rambled incoherently for about fifteen minutes. When I arrived at the home less than an hour later, he was passed out and surrounded by multiple assault rifles.”
- “[He] has discussed taking the children to stay with associates in Florida, including a business associate who is currently under investigation by the FBI and connected to known dangerous persons — and about whom he told our 10-year-old daughter on June 21, 2025, ‘If I told you what happened to the money, some people would come and kill you.’”
Jennifer Lancaster said she and Clint Lancaster “separated for several months as a result” of his leaving a marijuana gummy on their daughter’s desk. That would have been around 2022, just based on the youngest child’s birth year referenced in the petition.
Jennifer Lancaster’s affidavit says Clint Lancaster was kicked off a plane in Chicago while on his way to Wisconsin for rehab after he “became combative with airline staff.” She says he was involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric hospital in Wisconsin in June, then transferred to an inpatient rehab facility, which he left after finding out insurance would not cover the whole stay. Finally, she says that, “since July 20,” Clint Lancaster has opened new bank accounts, bought a new vehicle, obtained multiple tattoos and “expressed plans to move to Florida with individuals who pose safety risks to the children.”
Jennifer Lancaster is asking the Saline County Circuit Court to order Clint Lancaster to surrender his firearms. She asked that all visitation with the minor children be suspended until he completes a psychiatric evaluation and complies with all recommended treatment, has 60 days of negative drug and alcohol screenings, completes 30 consecutive days of counseling and successfully completes a minimum 30-day inpatient or intensive outpatient rehabilitation program.
A common refrain about MAGA-aligned folks is that every accusation they make is actually a confession. While that might not always be accurate, the saying certainly comes to mind in this instance.
