NATALBANY, La. (WGNO) — A Natalbany man was arrested on July 29 in connection with a child rape investigation.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, the 12-year-old victim reported that sexual abuse, allegedly perpetrated by 42-year-old Willie Jackson III, went back five years prior and occurred in at least two other states, as well as in Tangipahoa Parish.
Following an investigation, a warrant was issued for Jackson’s arrest and he remained wanted until Hammond Police reportedly learned he was possibly at a home in their jurisdiction.
Jackson was then taken into custody and booked on one count each of first-degree rape – victim under 13, first-degree rape and molestation of a juvenile and two counts of aggravated crimes against nature.
