A teen girl was killed and another was hospitalized after they were involved in a personal watercraft crash in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the Intracoastal Waterway near the 2800 block of Northeast 24th Court.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials said crews responded after receiving 911 calls of an accident involving a pair of personal watercraft.

NBC6 Two teen girls were hospitalized after they suffered serious injuries in a personal watercraft crash in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The two teens were riding in tandem on one of the watercraft and were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center with life threatening injuries, officials said.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials later confirmed that one of the girls, a 14-year-old, died from her injuries.
The girls’ identities haven’t been released.
FWC officials said it appeared the watercraft struck a dock as it was traveling through the Intracoastal.
One of the teens was seen being placed in the back of an ambulance and was moving her arm. Aerial footage showed multiple personal watercraft and a boat near a home’s dock.
Fort Lauderdale Police and the FWC are investigating the cause of the crash.
No other information was immediately available.
