Police are searching for two suspects who shot a homeless man while attempting to rob him in his tent in the East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles overnight.
The shooting was reported on the 4600 block of Santa Monica Boulevard around 2:20 a.m.
Arriving officers found the 45-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.
Investigators believe two men made contact with the unidentified victim in his tent and demanded property.
One of the suspects then fired several shots, striking the victim before both fled on foot.
The victim, who police said was experiencing homelessness, was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
No detailed description of the suspects was available.
