The Loudoun County government, the Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District and the Loudoun Invasive Removal Alliance are partnering to provide information sessions about the county’s Invasive Plant Species Management Program. They will be hosting two informational meetings to provide an overview of the program and how to prepare for the application process opening this fall.
- Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at The Barn at Brambleton located at 24439 Evergreen Mills Road in Ashburn
- Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bluemont Vineyard located at 18755 Foggy Bottom Road in Bluemont
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved the Invasive Plant Species Management Program during its June 17, 2025, meeting, following a successful pilot program. The program aims to promote awareness of and removal of non-native invasive plant species that are negatively impacting the local economy and ecosystems. The county is partnering with the Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District to administer the program.
