BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Buskirk man is dead following a motorcycle crash in the town of Brunswick on Friday, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office. The incident reportedly occurred on Grange Road.
Deputies responded to the scene at about 12:12 p.m. following reports of a motorcycle crash involving two other vehicles. An investigation allegedly found that the motorcycle was driving erratically prior to the crash, including passing multiple cars in a no-passing zone by crossing double yellow lines.
The motorcycle operator, identified as 40-year-old Chad Niles, died as a result of the crash, the sheriff’s department said. All lanes were closed on Grange Road between Liberty Road and Crescent Lane for about four hours on Friday and have since reopened.
