About KI Tablets
KI tablets help protect the thyroid from harmful radioactive iodine during a radiological emergency. They should only be taken when instructed by state health officials. There is currently no emergency. Each adult and child will receive a two-day supply along with usage and storage instructions. Anyone picking up tablets for someone else must fill out a separate request form in addition to their own.
Who can take KI tablets?
KI is safe for most people, including children, pregnant and breastfeeding individuals, and those on thyroid medications. People with iodine allergies should consult a healthcare provider. Tablets are not available for pets. Contact your veterinarian for more information.
