BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hilltopper volleyball also held its media day Tuesday morning with head coach Travis Hudson being joined by senior Callie Bauer and sophomore Alivia Skidmore.
The team is coming off of yet another season that saw a Conference USA title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament, with WKU winning three of the six major end-of-season honors, and not to mention having five All CUSA selections.
Now, the group is wiping that slate and focusing on what’s ahead for 2025, and Coach Hudson shared that what isn’t on the team’s mind is all the accolades and achievements that have come in the past.
“ I know we have this crazy win streak going on in conference play and we’ve won 17 out of 20 championships in Conference USA. I honestly don’t feel like our program, in general, feels a lot of pressure from that. I don’t think we think about it. I don’t think we talk about it. I don’t think we worry about being on a streak or being the defending champion,” Hudson said. “I think we are so wrapped up in just kind of growing this group into what it can be, and so it’s time to get to work and see where we end up.”
