A man was found shot to death in the bed of the Los Angeles River in Long Beach on Wednesday.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was found just before 11:20 a.m. in the riverbed near the 91 Freeway, police said in a news release.
He’d sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was declared dead at the scene.
“The motive for the shooting and the circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation,” police said.
