WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating the drowning death of a child.

KSP says it responded to Whitley County at 7:18 pm on Friday to Baptist Health in Corbin for the drowning death of a 1-year-old.
KSP’s initial investigation shows the child was found in a swimming pool at a residence.
Whitley County EMS transported the child to Baptist Health. The child was later pronounced deceased by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
