(KRON) — Firefighters are actively battling a four-alarm fire at a warehouse on the 5200 block of 8th Street in Oakland. There have been no injuries reported so far.
The fire ignited shortly after 5 p.m. 70 firefighters are responding to the blaze, the Oakland Fire Department told KRON4.

As of 6 p.m., OFD said crews are making “good progress” on the fire. Oakland Fire said the flames have brought down power lines and spread to at least one building and several cars.
There are street closures as a result of the fire. Officials announced that the area between 50th and 54th avenues along San Leandro Street is closed, and E 8th Street is shut down from 49th to 55th avenues.
