Will rookie Colston Loveland be a game-changing tight end for the Bears?
Will rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III make a bunch of teams kick themselves for not grabbing him when they could?
And is second-year wideout Rome Odunze about to blossom into a major player?
In this week’s “Polling Place,” your home for Sun-Times sports polls on the social platform X, we asked which of those young pass catchers you’re most excited to watch.
“Rome will rise!” @00723maui commented.
“Rome can be a real threat as long as he can get separation,” @jayda3rd773 offered.
Next, we asked if Cubs designated hitter Seiya Suzuki — the majors’ RBI leader — should be an All-Star despite his infrequent duty in the field. Most voted yes, but there were detractors.
“He can’t play the outfield well, and there are too many DHs that deserve to be in,” @ronw_sportsnut wrote.
Last, we wanted to know if a White Sox-Rockies series really counts as big-league baseball. Look, somebody had to ask.
“And some people think Disco Demolition Night was an embarrassment to the game,” @RonaldVoigt4 cracked.
On to the polls:

Upshot: Isn’t it nice that we can pose this question unironically? Now about those running backs …
Poll No. 2: Cubs designated hitter Seiya Suzuki leads the majors in RBI as primarily a one-way player. Does he deserve to be an All-Star?

Upshot: That sound you’re hearing is yet another Suzuki long ball whistling into the bleachers. See you in Atlanta, ’Zuke.
Poll No. 3: The White Sox and Rockies (combined: approximately 80 games under .500) tangle this weekend. Is that major league baseball?
