ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A four-year-old boy has been declared missing by the Northwoods Police Department.
Police say Anthony Terrel Jackson was last seen on July 2 around 7011 Winchester Drive in a Northwoods neighborhood.
Police say the child was taken from his mother’s home by a non-custodial parent and has not been seen since.
According to officials, they were alerted to the missing persons incident shortly after 6:15 p.m.
Jackson is described as a Black male who is 3’6″ and weighs 47 lbs. He also has long brown/black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue shorts and blue Crocs.
Authorities believe they last saw an adult male with Jackson.
Police identified the potential suspect as Joseph Vincent Jackson Jr., 59.
Police say a Hyundai Genesis 4 is potentially associated with the incident, but officials are unaware of the vehicle’s direction.
FOX 2 has learned the car was rented.
Authorities describe Jackson Jr. as a Black male, standing at 5’8″ and weighing 175 lbs. Other characteristics of his include balding and brown eyes. Jackson Jr. also has tattoos on both arms and another tattoo on his hand, saying “BLM.”
Anyone who may have spotted the child, the alleged suspect or the vehicle is urged to dial 911 to contact their nearest law enforcement agency.
