MANVEL, Texas (KTRK) — The northbound lanes of Highway 288 near County Road 58 in Brazoria County have shut down due to an investigation into a car fire early Sunday morning, according to officials.
TranStar cameras on the road showed debris scattered across the lanes and a charred car. The fire was reported just before 3 a.m. on Sunday.
Officials did not say what caused the fire or if there were any occupants. Officials told ABC13 that the Manvel Police Department was investigating.
Drivers will be unable to access the entrance to the toll lanes as officials work to clear the scene.
