When Triple H took over WWE after Vince McMahon was forced out over his scandals, fans were relieved and excited. McMahon had long ago lost his way creatively, and with Triple H having made NXT a big success, it was thought that he could bring that same passion to the main roster. For a while, he did, but lately, the combination of Triple H and TKO has been phoning it with booking decisions. If that’s not bad enough, TKO has made some bad business choices that have hurt both their talent and fans. It’s safe to say that the honeymoon is over.

WWE Wants You To Shut Up And Enjoy The Show
- Triple H suggested that Will Ospreay signed with AEW because he couldn’t handle the grind of WWE.
- He made positive comments about President Donald Trump ahead of WrestleMania.
- He lied and said R-Truth leaving WWE was all part of the show.
Triple H has gone from being loved by fans to being seen as a disappointment in the last year. It’s not just about his booking decisions either, but the comments he’s made. Triple H has been known to speak his mind, such as hinting that Will Opsreay didn’t sign with WWE because he couldn’t handle the grind.
The Game has only gotten more outspoken lately. He made pro Donald Trump comments ahead of WrestleMania. He told fans who complain about WWE storylines to shut up and enjoy the show, and when questioned at a post Money in the Bank press conference about R-Truth being let go then quickly brought back, he said it was all part of the show. Fans like that Triple is a wrestling fan, but he is starting to treat those who support WWE like they’re stupid. On top of that, WWE didn’t do anything at all for Black History Month or Pride Month, but he made sure to send out a tweet on the Fourth of July, which was called out by fans online.

WWE Match Endings Have Gotten Very Lazy
Every John Cena WWE Championship Defense Ends The Same Way
- At first, WWE matches had more meaning, and titles were more prestigious.
- Matches have gotten predictable, with way too many DQ endings caused by interference.
- WWE is barely trying when it comes to booking John Cena.
When Triple H and TKO took over WWE, there was an immediate change to the on-screen product. Suddenly, matches were better, with the technical aspects praised, and titles now having more meaning. The Intercontinental and United States Championships felt prestigious for the first time in many years under the new regime.
This is now where WWE has gotten very lazy. How often does a Raw and SmackDown match end with the same predictable interference? The worst offender of all is John Cena. The Undisputed WWE Champion can’t get through a single defense without the referee getting knocked out, leading to interference from others, and Cena keeping his title. It’s as if WWE isn’t even trying with their biggest name.

TKO’s Love Fest With Having Shows In Saudi Arabia
These Shows Still Feel Wrong To Many Fans
- There are now several WWE shows in Saudi Arabia every year.
- The 2026 Royal Rumble will be in Saudi Arabia.
- Combine this with having WrestleMania in Las Vegas two years in a row, and WWE is throwing out traditions.
When WWE first started holding shows in Saudi Arabia, most fans were disgusted. Women weren’t allowed to go, and neither was the Syrian Sami Zayn. Eventually, women were permitted to perform on shows (even if they have to cover up their skin), and Zayn and other holdouts have shown up (including one CM Punk), but WWE’s love fest with Saudi Arabia still feels gross.
Fans have accepted that Saudi Arabia shows aren’t going away, but instead of them being something we tolerate once a year, they are not becoming more commonplace. We now get more than one PLE in Saudia Arabia every year. Even Raw and SmackDown are held there. But what really angered fans is when WWE announced that the 2026 Royal Rumble would be in Saudi Arabia, even though Nick Khan had once said that would never happen. Combine that with WWE recently moving WrestleMania from New Orleans so it could be held in Las Vegas for the second year in a row, and it feels like all the traditions of the past are falling away.

Ticket Prices For WWE Shows Are Too High
House Shows Have Also Been Done Away With
- WWE is doing its best business ever and has a huge deal with Netflix.
- AEW is lowering ticket prices at the same time.
- With house shows gone, fans can only see WWE in major cities.
Where WWE might be pissing off fans the most is with ticket prices. Despite WWE doing its best business, with some record-setting TV deals included, TKO has decided to raise ticket prices so high that they are now unaffordable for most. And if you want to see a PLE in person, forget about it, unless you’re a hardcore fan or someone with a lot of money. Meanwhile, AEW is countering this by actually lowering ticket prices.
It used to be that families would go to WWE house shows in smaller towns, but those are now a thing of the past. That’s great for wrestlers, who get to spend more time at home, but it hurts mainstream fans who don’t have a lot of money to spend. Today, if you don’t live in a major American city, you don’t get to see WWE live anymore.

WWE Is Oversaturating The Market With Too Many Shows
Trying To Destroy AEW Is A Bad Look
- The July 12 weekend has WWE putting out Saturday Night’s Main Event, NXT Great American Bash, and Evolution.
- AEW All In: Texas is on the same weekend.
- WWE under TKO feels like a corporation and not a wrestling promotion.
Less is almost always better, and while WWE might be doing fewer house shows, the number of live shows and PLEs they put on is exhausting. Just look at what is happening on the weekend of July 12. In a two-day span, WWE will put on Saturday Night’s Main Event, NXT Great American Bash, and Evolution, all in Atlanta, Georgia. Evolution and The Great American Bash have had horrible ticket sales because it’s just too much for fans not only to watch, but to afford.
Worse is the reason why WWE is doing this. It’s all to hurt AEW, who is putting on All In the same weekend. WWE’s strategy is that if they oversaturate the market with their content, then fans will be less likely to watch All In. That strategy failed back in May with AEW Double or Nothing. It makes WWE look like a big bully who is out to beat up the smaller competition. WWE isn’t a wrestling company anymore. Now, many feel that they are just TKO, a corporation that’s all about making money first.
