1. Bryan Kohberger accepts plea deal in Idaho college murders case
NewsNation has learned a plea deal has been offered to Bryan Kohberger, the man charged with killing four University of Idaho students in November 2022, and he has accepted. Sources confirm the prosecution has proposed dropping the death penalty in exchange for Kohberger pleading guilty to committing the murders and to a burglary charge.

3. One dead, multiple injured in Westerlo tractor trailer crash
A family of six, including three children, was involved in a serious crash on Monday morning in the town of Westerlo. The crash took place shortly after 10:30 a.m. on County Route 401.

5. NYSPHSAA denies La Salle’s appeal of postseason ban
On May 16, Section 2 banned all La Salle Institute sports from postseason play in 2025-2026 after the executive committee ruled the Cadets baseball team violated a NYSPHSAA participation rule. La Salle filed an appeal to NYSPHSAA to overturn the punishment. On Monday, that appeal was denied.
