4-year-old dead, 6-year-old injured after car strikes sidewalk in Burlingame, police say

BURLINGAME, Calif. (KGO) — One child is dead and another is in the hospital after being hit by a car in front of a business in Burlingame Friday evening, police said.

Police say at around 6:25 p.m., a vehicle struck the two children on the sidewalk in front of a restaurant in the 1200 block of Donnelly Avenue.

A 6-year-old girl was transported to a hospital for treatment.

A 4-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the 19-year-old driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
