(KRON) — More than $3,000 in hundreds of stolen items were recently recovered by the California Highway Patrol after a routine traffic car stop quickly turned into a chase, said officials.
When the pursuit came to a halt, the CHP Golden Gate Division said its officers discovered a haul of approximately 196 stolen goods in the suspect’s vehicle. CHP did not specify the location of the incident or source of the lifted merchandise.
CHP said its Organized Retail Crime Task Force is investigating the retail theft.
KRON4 reached out to CHP for more details on suspect information and what charges they face.
