NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WGN) — A man is dead after drowning at a Naperville beach, according to a Naperville Park District (NPD) spokesperson.
The NPD spokesperson said a 27-year-old man was found unconscious in the water at Centennial Beach on West Jackson Avenue around 6 p.m. Thursday.

After authorities arrived at the beach, he was taken to Endeavor Health Edward Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Centennial Beach will remain closed Friday, according to the Naperville Park District.
