ST. LOUIS – Two teens, including a 36-year-old, were taken into custody following an on-foot police pursuit over the weekend after officials say they were carrying guns in the Fox Park neighborhood.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), District 3 officers were alerted to individuals with ski masks and man bags in a park Saturday night, June 28.
When officers approached the individuals to investigate, all three alleged suspects fled the scene on foot, according to police, who shared the incident on social media.
“But our officers were much faster,” the department wrote on Facebook.
Police seized all guns and identified the teens in custody as 15 and 16 years old. One of the guns taken by officials had a conversion device.
Officials have charged the 36-year-old man with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a firearm. FOX 2 has learned that the Juvenile Court released the two teenagers and reunited them with their parents.
