ANTIOCH, Ill. (WGN) — A boat fire on Fox Lake in northwest suburban Antioch prompted an emergency response Tuesday afternoon, though officials report no one suffered any injuries.
A Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said the engine of a recently repaired boat caught fire.
SkyCam9 flew above the scene near Bolton Road, where fire crews worked to extinguish the flames and assess the boat’s damage fully.
Video obtained by WGN News showed black smoke billowing from the boat. Unconfirmed reports suggest that someone jumped off the small vessel for safety.
