Though WWE may not boast the same world-class quality roster that AEW has, they maintain a high caliber of talent. Between Gunther, Sami Zayn, and Bron Breakker tearing it up on RAW, The Bloodline’s continuous SmackDown domination, and NXT upstarts like Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams, the professional wrestling empire stands strong.
That typically transcends into their virtual world, too. WWE 2K24, for instance, brought a plethora of fresh faces to the series, such as Jade Cargill, The Great Muta, and ‘Big’ Bronson Reed, while also reintroducing a glut of returning figures, including CM Punk, The Dudley Boyz, and The Honky Ton Man. WWE 2K25 must continue this trend, and the following names would be a great place to start.
Naomi Just Missed The Cut For WWE 2K24
She Returned To WWE At The Royal Rumble

The shock WWE walk-out of Naomi and Sasha Banks in May 2022 resulted in both their removals from the WWE 2K23 roster, and despite the former having returned to the company in time for the release of WWE 2K24, Naomi remained absent from the game. Her return, which occurred in the women’s Royal Rumble match, meant she only just missed the cut.
She’ll be back in WWE 2K25, though. Naomi has been presented staggeringly well since resurfacing, consistently being a beacon of incredible matches on Friday nights. Recreating this in the digitized squared circle will be a must-do for all players.
Andrade Also Missed Out On A WWE 2K24 Roster Spot
‘El Idolo’ Was Another Royal Rumble Returnee

WWE 2K Battlegrounds |

Also returning to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble was Andrade, who was coming off an almost three-year stint with All Elite Wrestling. ‘El Idolo’ stands as the WWE Speed Champion, while also having a somewhat featured match at WrestleMania 40, and is in the midst of what is indisputably SmackDown’s hottest feud vs. Carmelo Hayes; he’s a shoo-in to star in WWE 2K25.
Departing WWE for pastures new in 2021 meant Andrade’s latest WWE gaming title was the cheap All Stars imitation, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, in which he was a DLC character. Having been ranked in the eighties for all three of his games, though, it would be scandalous if Andrade was absent from the roster.
WWE May Look To Pay Tribute To The Wild Samoans
Afa And Sika Both Passed Away In 2024
- The Wild Samoans were the original tag team of the Anoa’i family.
- They have held the WWE Tag Team Championships three times.
- Neither Afa nor Sika has starred in a console WWE video game.
While the video game inclusion of WWE’s modern-day roster is almost too easy to predict, dictating which legends will be playable characters is akin to playing a round of Guess Who. The likes of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, The Rock, and The nWo have become series regulars, while the rest of the on-disc legends roster is largely dependent on 2K’s direction for that year’s Showcase Mode.
For WWE 2K25, a Showcase involvement or otherwise, The Wild Samoans should be a priority. Afa and Sika both tragically died in 2024, only weeks apart, and are bizarre exclusions from WWE’s history of console video games. Their sole offering to the computerized world has been through mobile card games, like WWE Supercard, but if WWE can offer roster spots to Pat McAfee’s mates, two spots can be made for the WWE Hall of Famers.
Sol Ruca Was Seemingly Cut From The WWE 2K24 Roster
In-Game Files Were Found For Numerous Absent Superstars
- Sol Ruca has been a highlight on NXT.
- Her Sol Snatcher finisher is one of the best in wrestling today.
- She was seemingly planned for the WWE 2K24 roster.
The abundance of NXT talent included in WWE video games has risen exponentially since the brand debuted, properly, in WWE 2K15, where only five talents – Adrian Neville, Bo Dallas, Corey Graves, Rusev, and Sami Zayn – were on the base roster. Compared to WWE 2K24’s 31 on-disc NXT talents, it’s evident that 2K has catered heavily to fans of the developmental product.
There was almost a 32nd NXT name on the roster, though. Digging deep into the game’s files reveals hidden ring announcer audio for various wrestlers, including WWE Hall of Famers Alundra Blayze and The Great Khali, as well as Sol Ruca. Owing to Ruca’s long spell on the recovery shelf, it appears she was cut for space – but expect her in WWE 2K25, on-disc or downloadable.
Bo Dallas Will Bring The Wyatt Sicks’ Spookiness To WWE 2K25
Dallas’ Alter Ego, Uncle Howdy, Is Already Included

Though this may appear as a cheap inclusion, given that Uncle Howdy is in both WWE 2K23 and 2K24, Bo Dallas hasn’t starred in a video game since 2020’s WWE 2K Battlegrounds, and he hasn’t had a rating above eighty since the incredibly generous 84 rating he had in his WWE 2K15 debut. It’s imperative, though, that WWE includes all five Wyatt Sicks members – Dallas, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross – as themselves and as their Wyatt Sicks alter egos.
That this has been done for countless other performers, including Bray Wyatt himself as The Fiend, means there should be no issue getting Bo Dallas back in a WWE video game.
Giulia May Be A DLC Character
‘The Beautiful Madness’ Finally Debuted In September 2024
- Giulia made her first on-screen WWE appearance at NXT Stand And Deliver 2024.
- She has been gunning for the NXT Women’s Championship.
- Her official debut coming in September 2024 may make her a DLC character.
The recent signing spree that WWE executives have been on are unlikely to make the cut for WWE 2K25, bar one name – Giulia. Unlike Stephanie Vaquer and the rumored-to-have-signed Motor City Machine Guns, Giulia has made it to WWE programming, wrestling her first match for the NXT brand on its September 10, 2024 broadcast, and has had the NXT Women’s Championship in her sights ever since.
Owing to her arrival late in the year, though, Giulia may be relegated to the downloadable section of WWE 2K25’s roster. Nonetheless, the multi-time Stardom champion will be a heavily used character in her video game debut.
Sycho Sid’s Passing Should Trigger A WWE Games Comeback
He Was Last Featured In WWE 2K19

The late Sid Eudy passing away in August 2024 was met with a heartwarming conglomeration on social media as wrestling fans, pundits, and wrestlers themselves paid tribute to ‘The Master and Ruler of the World’. Sid was underrated, heavily so, but he came with a backstage reputation that made many, WWE included, reluctant to work with him in his later career.
He did manage to make it to the roster of WWE 2K17 through 2K19, and wouldn’t look out of place in the virtual ring opposite in-ring tanks of today, like Bron Breakker and Damian Priest. Much like The Wild Samoans, his untimely passing could be Sid’s ticket back to the gaming world.
The New Bloodline Will Dominate WWE 2K25
Jacob Fatu And The Tongans Will Join Solo Sikoa In The Game
- The Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline has remained a strong fixture on SmackDown.
- Sikoa has added Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa to the group.
- All three are expected on the WWE 2K25 roster.
As far as current-day WWE wrestlers not in WWE 2K24 who are likely to be in WWE 2K25, there aren’t many ripe for picking. The AOP will likely be back for the first time since WWE 2K Battlegrounds, while DLC acts such as Lyra Valkyria, Jade Cargill, and Dragon Lee will make the move to the game’s core roster. For completely new talent to the WWE 2K franchise, though, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa are must-haves.
The trio have been prominently featured on WWE programming, having joined Solo Sikoa in his revamped Bloodline stable in the wake of WrestleMania 40, and would be conspicuous by their absence if they were omitted. Of the three, only Tonga Loa stood a chance of being included in a past WWE video game; as Camacho, he was with WWE while production was ongoing for WWE ’13 and WWE 2K14, but he failed to appear.

Trish Stratus and Lita; that has forever been the extent of WWE’s female legends included in their video games. Recently retired names, like Beth Phoenix, as well as those who have other roles in WWE, such as Molly Holly and Maryse, have also made the cut in recent games, as has the late Chyna.
WWE may be looking to up the ante going forward, having been on a spree of signing past talents to nostalgia deals, with ex-WWE Women’s Champions, Jacqueline and Victoria being among them. While Jacqueline has been in WWE’s good books for some time, appearing in WWE 2K17, 2K18, and 2K19, Victoria’s sole contribution to WWE since leaving the company was a spot in the 2021 Royal Rumble. She hasn’t been in a game since SmackDown vs. Raw 2009, so now is the right time to update her record.

Brock Lesnar has been quote-unquote banished from WWE following the revelation of his involvement in the sexual misconduct carried out against Janel Grant, and justly so – but Brock, it would appear, remains under WWE contract. Speaking during the WrestleMania 40 press conference, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque confirmed that Brock wasn’t gone from WWE.
“At one point, there was a conversation with Brock about Royal Rumble, quite a long time ago. Right now, Brock is at home being Brock. We’ll see where that leads to from here. His status is the same as it has been before. Brock is not gone from WWE. He’s just home being Brock.” (H/T

Brock Lesnar, who wrestled his last match to date at SummerSlam 2023 in a loss to Cody Rhodes, was included in WWE 2K24, however, he was locked in the Showcase Mode, usable only for the WrestleMania 30 replication vs. The Undertaker. Come WWE 2K25, WWE may not be as reluctant to put him on the official roster.
