Wild Rivers Waterpark will join a global initiative to combat childhood drowning by hosting the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson on Thursday, June 26.
The event, themed “Mission Possible: Swim Lessons Save Lives,” aims to raise awareness of the life-saving importance of swim instruction. It will take place simultaneously at hundreds of locations worldwide.
The registration cost is $40 per person and includes admission to the park for the entire day, a commemorative T-shirt for the first 150 guests, and a $20 donation to support drowning prevention efforts by the Jasper Ray Foundation.
Participants must pre-register and check in by 9:45 a.m. Space is limited, and the event is expected to sell out. Registration is available at wildrivers.com/companies/wlslday using the password WLSL2025.
Drowning remains one of the leading causes of death for children ages 1 to 4. According to Memorial Care, teaching children to swim is not just recreational but a vital life skill.
