CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Two cars and a motorcycle wrecked on Providence Boulevard Thursday night.

At about 6:35 p.m., the vehicles wrecked on Providence at E Street, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

“The status of the injuries is unknown at this time but it is causing major traffic issues,” he said.

Providence is reduced to one lane northbound, and all southbound lanes are closed. Southbound traffic is being diverted to Walnut Street.

At 7:45 p.m., southbound traffic was backed up to Dover Crossing, and northbound traffic was backed up to the Red River bridge.

CPD is asking the public to find alternate routes until the roadway can be completely cleared.
