Longmont city government telephone services to all lines were mostly restored by about 8 p.m. Sunday, city staff announced Sunday night.

In a news release, the city staff asked residents that if they call one of the city lines and receive a busy signal, to wait a moment and to try again.

Emergency 911 service was not disrupted by the outages, which the city reported on Thursday morning.

“We again apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience,” city staff said in its Sunday night news release.

Longmont has not yet reported a cause of the telephone service outage.
