The Fox Theatre is set to launch a new event, “Women & Wine,” on Thursday, July 24, in The Marquee Club.
The evening is dedicated to highlighting female wine professionals who are redefining the industry at large, according to a press release.
The event features a panel discussion — moderated by Kelly Cornett, host of the popular wine podcast A Cork in the Road — that includes guest speakers with expertise on a wide range of roles in the industry, such as sommelier, importer and entrepreneur.
Among the panelists confirmed for the event include Chelsea Young (owner of The Oenophile Institute), Megan Skupny (national director of sales and marketing for Lang & Reed Napa Valley) and Melissa Moholt Siebert (founder of Ancient Oak Cellars and Acorn Wines), with more guests expected to be announced sometime in the future.
In addition to the panel, the event will also have wine tasting stations with curated food pairings, giving guests the opportunity to sip a variety of beverages and mingle with other enthusiasts.
