SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A fire in Schenectady is under investigation. It took place around 7 p.m. Friday on Brown Street.
Fire officials said there was heavy fire and smoke when they arrived on the scene, and an explosion occurred on the first floor. Some damage was found on the second floor.
It took crews about 40 minutes to get the fire under control. One person was found inside the building.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
